Half Moon Bay is located on the Western Shores of Castle Rock Lake. It consists of 70 Waterfront Lots, 13 Off-Water Lot with Pier Rights, and 22 Waterfront Condos. It is also part of the local sanitary district, so no private septic is required.

Half Moon Bay is the second development on Castle Rock Lake with ammenities such as an outdoor pool, tennis courts and a clubhouse. It is known to be a quieter development than O'Dells Bay, mostly due to the absence of a public restaurant on site. This development has their own association piers and is located on a quieter part of Castle Rock Lake. Some properties in this development are located into the Little Yellow River portion of the lake and offer more of a northwoods feel. But make no mistake about the popularity of this development. It is at the north end of the lake's "Gold Coast" (the most popular shoreline on the lake).

Condos range in size, but will all offer at least 3 bedrooms and will range in price from $389,900 - $429,900. There are a variety of homes on both the main lake and the man-made "Legend Lake" ranging in value from about $350,000 - $1,400,000. There is also a very nice sandy beach, private boat launch and marina within Half Moon Bay.
